You are in a world where flowers are mostly hostile, willing to attack people on sight.  However you see that there is a way to tame these wild creatures making it so someday people and plants can co-exist!!  So out side of protecting the village from attacks during the night, you run a flower shop during the day.  You are going to tame these baby creatures during the day, then turn around and fight the wild ones at night whilst picking up more seeds for your shop.  Can you make it past my 3 day campaign demo?  Let's see...


Note: after 3 minuets of gameplay the screen will go dark... The reason why this happens is due to the fact is that's the unfinished gameplay.  It will go back to the regular stuff after 3 minuets...

Scrapped Ideas for the jam version:

1. Trainable companions: These guys were going to fight along side you during the night, weather attacking the hostile plant monsters, or being diplomatic and recruiting the hostiles to your side to fend the village at night.  However I didn't have enough time to create a system for that to meet the deadline.

2. Variety of Plants: Besides the default one (which was a purple flower) I was planning on one that was dog like, one that lays traps, and one that could fly.  However, I scrapped this idea increasingly early on just to keep the scope small.

3. An economy: You can buy sell and trade the flowers with the villagers to make some money.  This way you can also acquire more seeds and food as well.  Sometimes you can even get some rare seeds too!! But that would of been a headache in 3 days to program from scratch.

4. Story: Yes I did have a story planned out for the overall campaign.  However, I didn't get the time to put it in due to the time being short.

5. The second half of the game: Mostly due to rocky development, I ended up cutting out the nighttime segment from the game.  It's supposed to be the Meat and potatoes of the game.  But I was lucky to get anything done at least a 2 hours before the jam is over.  I think I wasted too much time screwing off and not working... Ho well, story of my life...

Updates Made since submission: Made it so you can continue to add more food and water to the plants to buffer the decay rate, slowed down the decay rate, made it so extra health can be buffered for the flowers, added a time in the corner so you don't have to use the Console window, added a box highlight with the tool you are currently using in the middle to help with knowing where you are placing things, fixed a issue where it wouldn't go back to the flower box mode, fixed a issue where you go back to menu but everything would only reset half way, added a cap of how many flowers you can plant at the beginning of the game and added a red color to the tool tip when you meet the limit, I've started working on the night time section, Updated the cover image so it isn't the Untitled Cool Guy standing in a default position but Untitled Cool Guy doing something cool, Fixed the ability to grow flowers on top of existing flowers, Fixed the issue where you couldn't grow flowers where others had died

After the jam is over these updates will be applied!!
